On February 9, 2019,  W.R. Thomas Middle School robotics team "Tiger Industries Tiger Bots" competed at the STEAM in the Gardens. Exploring Health Careers at Miami Dade College Medical Campus

Over 450 students from thirteen high schools attended Miami Dade College Medical Campus's celebratory "Open House" on January 29, 2019. Activities included educational hands-on experiences, tours of college labs, presentations by medical instructional staff and much more. Computer Science Education Week Photo Contest

During Computer Science Week on December 6th, 2018 at South Dade Senior High School, Computer Science Principles and Virtual Reality Gaming Academy students taught Pre-K students how to create art using Sphero Robots.  Entering in a computer science week photo contest, the South Dade students won first place and a $500 Amazon gift card for the class.
