Students from 20 Schools attended Miami-Dade Public Schools Construction Career Day. Students interacted in hands-on experiences using various tools and equipment, and learned of various careers within construction, architecture and engineering. Media TV production students from Arthur & Polly Mays were invited to videotape the event.
On October 24th and 25th, over 1,130 students attended the Construction Career Day event. With 19 different schools at this event, it taught students to worked together and many basic elements of construction. Over 1200 students participated in Ten80 education's STEM day. This fast-paced event for high school students was geared towards upperclassmen and opened the doors for long-term engagement in STEM learning.
