Mad City Money is a learning opportunity event for NAF Academy of Finance students. During the event, each student is given a scenario with information that contains: an occupation and salary, student loan debt, credit card debt, etc. Participating in this event gives students an idea of what adults are doing to take care of their household finances. Not only are the first and second academy students learning the importance of budgeting, the upperclassmen are learning how to provide service to their customers; how to help them accordingly and give them what they need.
Third and fourth year NAF students participate as vendors behind each booth to persuade the customers (Freshmen & Sophomores) to purchase items within or over their budget. We all come to an understanding that bills and responsibilities are no joke! You’ll see the reality of it, if you participate in Mad City Money.
