For the last twenty years, The Nursing Consortium of South Florida has coordinated a tri-county event providing a job shadowing and career exploration experience for Health Science students. Over 450 Health Science students from 17 Miami-Dade County Public high schools participated in the event at local hospitals, medical centers and colleges. Being exposed to real situations, the “Day in the Life of a Nurse” event was a great learning experience for all students who participated.
