As a result of this grant, North Miami Beach and Miami Edison Senior High Schools will offer students the opportunity to begin completing college-level courses prior to graduation. College credits will be accepted for transfer into Associate Degree Programs offered by Miami Dade College’s School of Entertainment & Design Technology.

“Through innovative education and leading-edge partnerships, we provide students with world-class opportunities,” said Superintendent of Schools Alberto M. Carvalho. “This partner grant will allow Miami-Dade County Public Schools students to earn industry certifications, giving them a direct path to careers in high-demand trades and technical vocations, thus preparing them for success after graduation.”
