Miami-Dade Student Entrepreneurs Receive Expert Business Advice
On Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Miami Airport Convention Center an event for future business leaders was held with many special speakers including Nick Cannon from the hit reality TV shows, “America’s Got Talent,” and Daymond John from “Shark Tank,” plus Nely Galan from the production company Galan Entertainment. Many other presenters included Emilio Gonzalez, Director of Miami-Dade Aviation Department; Guido Balocco of Edward Beiner, Purveyor of Fine Eyewear; Chris Nolte of Per’La Specialty Roasters; and Gustavo Henao of IGT Glass Hardware.
Miami-Dade CTE students were able to sales pitch their company to the Keynote & Guest Speakers as well as to Business Owners/Entrepreneurs who offered advice to these young people. Students were allowed to attend sessions from All About the Money – Access to Capital & Disruption in Payments, Larry Conley’s National Specialty Finance Manager for JPMorgan Chase; John Richert’s Southeast Head of Investment Banking for JP Morgan Chase, Laura Mille’s President of Small Business Commerce Solutions for Chase; The Hidden Benefits of Social Media Marketing; and Brett Goldslager ‘s Senior Account Executive for Twitter. Students also produced a Periscope video with Nick Cannon on ChaseforBiz Twitter Feed.
