W.R. Thomas and Coral Reef alliance took top place tournament champions at the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair VEX Robotics competition on March 17, 2019. The Tiger Industries team from W.R.T. also won first place middle school engineering notebook award. Highlights of the event include: South Dade Senior high winning 2nd competing for the first time at the Youth Fair. Rockway Middle brought four teams to the event, winning 2nd place tournament award in an alliance with South Dade High School. Rockway students also won 2nd and 3rd place Design Awards.
