Riviera and W.R. Thomas Middle school students WINNING!! Jr. Orange Bowl Vex IQ competitions, Awesome job! Rams & Tigers
Riviera Middle school’s student team “RoboRamsIQ” comprised of S.T.I.R students won the Design Award (VIQC) for the VEX IQ Challenge, and the Teamwork Champion Award (VIQC). Winning these two awards qualifies Riviera middle school to compete in The South Florida VEX IQ Middle School State Championship (3/3/2019) @ Charles M. Davis-Special Event Center on the Florida State Fairgrounds.
W.R. Thomas middle school students team “W.R. Thomas Tigers” won an astounding 4 awards. The most won by one team in this year’s competition: The Amaze Award (VIQC), Build Award (VIQC), Robot Skills Champion Award (VIQC), and the Robot Skills Second Place Award (VIQC) they now qualify for the South Florida VEXIQ Middle School State Championship.
The 3rd Annual Jr. Orange Bowl Middle School VEX IQ Robotics Competition is presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, who provides elementary and middle school students with exciting, open-ended robotics and research project challenges that enhance their science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills through hands-on, student-centered activities.
