Online Courses
FACTE's variety of online courses are designed to enhance CTE teacher’s curriculum, classroom management, and technologies.
The classes are online, usually lasting 4-6 weeks, with required attendance at a live online session once a week. Course in-service points vary from 12 to 60 in-service points per course. Check out FACTE online course catalog, and find the course(s) that interest you!
If you register for a FACTE online course, you must contact the CTE office at least 2 weeks before the course begins. Email [email protected] or call 305-693-3030.
Perkins Professional Development Institute (PDI)
A Self-Study Program for Teacher Industry Certification
CTE teachers and instructors choosing self-study can be reimbursed up to $150 for self-study materials such as online training, manuals, books or other self-study methods.
Teachers/instructors must complete the mini-grant application prior to attending any pre-exam review, taking any self-study courses or taking a certification exam. Perkins PDI mini-grant recipients must verify that the certification they are pursuing is linked to the program they teach on the Division’s Perkins Technical Skills Attainment (TSA) Inventory.
