Carvalho will thank the community organizations who participated as mentors in the Summer Youth Internship Program and recognize the Children’s Trust and Miami-Dade County for their support. \nTo celebrate the success of the 2016 Summer Youth Internship Program and to thank the local business and community partners who participated by hosting over 1\,400 student interns.  More than 700 internship providers/ have been invited to a reception in their honor. Participating students were able to apply knowledge learned in the classroom through a real-world setting thus preparing them to be future ready.
